The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the remote learning support system which utilized a cable network. Fifty college students were divided into two groups; the remote learning class and the face-to-face learning class and they took the lecture of the developmental psychology in each learning condition. They responded to three kinds of the questionnaires; the evaluation of the picture, the evaluation of the lecture, and the image map test. The results showed that the students in the remote learning class rated the fluent degree of the picture low. And their evaluations of the interest of the lecture, the learner's confirmation of their own existence in teacher's mind, and the sense of inter causal agent were lower than those of the students in the face-to-face learning class. But their evaluation of the teacher's attitude and the experience of interacting with other learners were same levels. Based on these results the problems and the possibilities of the remote learning support system were discussed. |
