It was conducted as a research on “comfortable sitting” for developing “safe and comfort” wooden chairs used at care facilities for elderly people. It explored their essential needs for chairs with an aim to produce chairs that would enable them to create a purpose in life.\n　The result of our market research showed that many of the existing chairs for elderly people have mechanical designs and many of their shapes are unsuitable for their postures.
