A total of 215 students(females:210, males:5) participated in 13 scheduled classes of ninety minutes during a semester. The major aims of the course were for the participants to develop their social skills through the practices about person perception, communication, teamwork, assertion and group discussion. As for the effectiveness of the course, the participants' social skills score increased and trait shyness score decreased during the semester. Furthermore, the decreased shyness score of the participants whose social skills score increased was larger than that of the participants whose social skills score did not change.
