This system has two fundamental ideas. One is teacher education through the education of colleges and universities, and the other is "open" system. In this "open" system we can get a teacher's certificate at all the colleges and universities recognized by Ministry of Education. It is a matter of course that "open" system is significant from the viewpoint of having trained many excellent teachers for schools. But recently under this system, the students who want to acquire a teacher's certificate have increased rapidly. And many arguments about this system have been presented. This situation has brought about disorders in educational field. The disorders in educational field is notable especially concerning student teaching. By reason of this situation, a improvement about the system of student teaching was begun to be investigated from every point of view. A purpose of this paper is to clarify the problems about the system of student teaching that colleges and universities has involved by investigating and analyzing systems in colleges and universities concerning student teaching.
