| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study are (l) to compare the mental images of the demented elderly held by female care workers and female college students, and (2) to examine the relationship between their images and their knowledge about the demented elderly. Nineteen pairs of adjectives were presented to 128 female subjects (84 college students and 44 care workers). The mean age of the college students was 18.5 years old, and the mean age of the care workers was 41.9 years old. The results showed that care workers have more accurate knowledge about demented elderly than junior college students. Moreover, the results also showed that the images of the demented elderly held by the care workers are significantly more positive than that of the junior college students. | |||||||||
