| 内容記述 | The aims of this study were to present the case of a male student diagnosed with a mental disorder (schizotypal personality disorder), to consider the support activities that the student counseling room should provide, and to consider support for people who are hikikomori (social withdrawal) presumably due to mental disorder. First, the student counseling room is a place to provide a support, in conjunction with the academic affairs office and the school clinic, for a student to adapt to campus life and graduate. At an educational institution, student counseling is not a place for therapeutic counseling. The first reason why is because student counseling is a practical and ad hoc activity, and the second reason why is because the working conditions are seldom adequate. In addition, counselors in student counseling rooms are required to have the skills to help clients resolve their current difficulties with campus life without investigating their mental disorders. Support for the client in the current case sought to encourage him to stop himself from being hikikomori (social withdrawal) and to be aware of his disorder. The counselor's intentional attitude throughout the session encouraged the client's willingness to live in society. | |||||||||||
