| 内容記述 | After World War II, the reform of educational system…especially at the secondary school level…was made in the various countries to realize equality in educational opportunity. At present, the problem of equality in educational opportunity is discussed at the higher education level. As a result, many students have become to study in universities or colleges. From the point of view of equality in educational opportunity, it may be good situation. But this brought about "system of mass higher education". This situation is notable in USA. At present, many students go on to universities or colleges in Japan, too. And this brings up magnifying quantity of universities or colleges. So for this reason, recently the reform of higher education system has been discussed. In this situation, as the form of the reforming higher education system, short-cycle higer education system began to become the center of interest. The purpose of this paper is to attempt the explanation of the meaning, background and structure of mass higher education by considering variousness of short-cycle higher education system. We must seriously consider the problems of variousness of short-cycle higher education system as the subject for further discussion. | |||||||||
